Entrepreneur | Founder of Lola’s Bridal | Redefining Bridal Fashion
An ABS graduate from the Class of 2007, Ruba Abu Rub is an entrepreneur and co-founder of Lola’s Bridal, a boutique that is redefining bridal fashion in the region by blending bohemian elegance with luxury fabrics.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Global Communication and Media from the American University of Paris, Ruba explored diverse career paths—from film festivals to business development and children's education—before discovering her passion for bridal design.
In 2016, she and her childhood friend launched Lola’s Bridal, inspired by her own experience of struggling to find a wedding dress that was both stylish and comfortable. Partnering with a renowned atelier in Istanbul, they created a collection that challenges traditional bridal norms, offering graceful, lightweight, and luxurious designs.
Beyond fashion, Ruba’s mission is to empower women—challenging the misconception that glamour must come at the cost of comfort, a sentiment that she believes reflects larger cultural expectations placed on women. She hopes her journey inspires others to embrace uncertainty, explore new passions, and trust the process of discovery.
